Kohima Lotha Baptist Church is a fellowship of believers that purpose to know God through personal relationship with Jesus Christ, to equip believers through discipleship showing God’s love, we strive to reach a hungry and lost world with Jesus Christ through obedience to the great commission.
Since its inception, the church has not failed her Mission towards the believers and the unreached people (special people). The very statement of Jesus Christ feed my sheep, tend my sheep take care of my sheep (John 21:15-17) has been the church Motivating factor and the energy and source which we depend on.
The Mission of our church is to grow in faith and share our faith in God with the world around us. In order to achieve this vision and Mission we strive hard in accordance to the scripture. We consider every soul precious and eternal for which our true Mission and purpose is to “WIN SOULS FOR CHRIST”. Since the rapture of the church is so imminent, we desire to, and must not delay to, introduce Christ to those who will listen and hear the call of Jesus on their hearts and lives.
With these understanding, the outreach Mission takes its flight on 4th January 1982, called the “HAWAIPUR MISSION”, Karbi Anglong Assam. 1982-1994 within this few years concentrated at this particular area 9 churches were established. This ministry open another door to partner God in the Mission.
Since 1996 another outreach Mission undertaken by the Church at West Bengal, India targeting a people group “TOTO” with a population of 2500 is our hope for Christ. So far 15 Churches has been established and we pray that a big harvest is going to take place. This Toto Mission is accompanied by Bible translation Project. For this project we have one full time Bible translator with Four Associates. Our aim is to provide the Bible in their language.
A full time Missionary at Nagpur and another full time Missionary at Hyderabad.
As of now the church has three (3) full time Missionary in India, three Pastor, one Women Leader, Eleven Evangelist send by the Church at different parts of India. The whole expenditure of the Mission is raised amongst the Church members.
Our Mission is to let the people come and experience the grace and forgiveness of God; a family of believers where they can find healing for the things that have hurt and wounded their soul; where they can belong to believe- that is, where they can be nurtured and disciple into faith in the one true God and in Jesus Christ whom He has sent.
The Church will continue to proclaim the good news of Christ through worship, Ministry and outreach Mission in obedience to the great commission.
